Frequently asked questions

What activities can I lead with this course?

Once you’ve completed this course, as long as you have your enhanced DBS, safeguarding certificate and first aid, you can start leading activities at your local mosque or in your own setting for muslim communities of any age.

How do I get a DBS check?

If you don’t already hold an enhanced DBS you will need to start the application process by completing the following form: DBS application form

Once you submit this form, England Squash will review and begin your application with our DBS provider, Know Your People. This may take up to five working days. You’ll then receive an email with instructions to complete your application. Please note, it can take up to 60 days from completing the application for the DBS to be granted.

If you already hold an Enhanced DBS check for the child workforce through another organisation and are registered with the DBS Update Service, please do not complete a new application form. Instead, upload your documentation via the DBS Status section on your Learning Portal. You’ll need the certificate from your original DBS check to complete this process.
