Coaching Tips
- Track the ball and stay on the balls of feet for quick adjustments.
- Maintain a relaxed grip and absorb the ball’s impact for control.
- Use a short, compact swing at waist height, finishing follow-through toward target.
- Keep racket face open for lift and avoid big shoulder swings.
Make it easier
- Allow the ball to bounce once between shots.
- Allow volleys to hit the walls.
Make it harder
- Compete against another team: most consecutive volleys or first to a set number.
Safety
Remember to use the STEP framework—Space, Time, Equipment, and People—to adapt any activity for your players.
